Optimizing Aerospace Production Planning

This project is being carried out as an external PhD in close collaboration with Rolls-Royce Deutschland. It focuses on the optimization of complex production processes in the aerospace industry, particularly on sequencing and lot-sizing problems under multiple objectives. The goal is to develop innovative approaches that take into account regulatory requirements, safety considerations, and uncertainties in order to sustainably enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability in production. This research contributes to providing practical solutions for the challenges of highly regulated and technologically demanding engine manufacturing.
